Estuary Care and a representative from Bushman’s River Ratepayers Organisation have joined forces to encourage the Municipality to embark on a properly organised method of collecting recyclable materials (bottles, cans, plastic and cardboard). This programme has been initiated via IWARS. They have established a collection point for recyclables in the fenced off Spar parking lot and also at the IWARS depot in the Bushman’s Industrial Area. A skip for bottles has been placed on Municipal land just below the library with access from the Post Office and Municipal offices parking lot.
