It’s that time of the year again. Our annual subscriptions are due in October.
‘Membership, Donors and Donations
Estuary Care is most grateful for membership fees paid and for donations received.
We cannot survive without the support of members who pay their annual membership fee: and of donors who contributed so generously towards the funds needed to continue to find a workable solution to the Boesmans Estuary sand dune problem.
This list (not exhaustive) has been drawn up to illustrate the scope and range of activities in which Estuary Care is involved:
- Upkeep and regular maintenance of towpaths along the banks of the Kariega and Boesmans Estuaries.
- Involvement (together with KOSRA and BRRAG) in the upkeep of paths and stairways leading down to the estuaries.
- Maintenance of the Municipal slipways and jetties on the Kariega and Boesmans Estuaries.
- Erection and maintenance of channel markers and boating signs at the slipways and up the estuaries. These signs are invaluable guides to boaters using the estuaries. We consult with regular estuary users as to the placement and content of these signs.
- Repair of beach front facilities damaged by floods
- Engaging on environmental issues such as the present Boesmans sand dune problem’
